DIRECTUNE · SERVICE INFORMATION

Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern use of the video creation service “DirecTune(β)” (the “Service”), provided by MAZARIBA合同会社 (the “Company”). Please review and agree to these Terms before using the Service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

This service is available only to Japanese nationals accessing from Japan. The Service cannot be used from outside Japan. People who do not hold Japanese nationality cannot use it even if they reside in Japan. Users declare that they meet these conditions and must continue to meet them while using the Service. False statements about nationality or location, using a VPN or similar means to misrepresent the place of use, and lending an account to anyone who does not meet the requirements are prohibited.

Register using a Google account. Use an account you control and manage your credentials appropriately. As a rule, you can use the Service after initial registration without waiting for approval. If using it for an organization's business, obtain the necessary authorization from that organization.

2. Features provided

The Service provides editing of videos generally up to 3 minutes using photos, video, music, and text; AI media generation and writing assistance; previews; and export. Editing requires a supported PC and browser. Features and operating requirements of the beta version may change as development progresses.

When using YouTube upload, you must have the necessary rights to the video, music, images, and other materials you upload, and comply with the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google API Services User Data Policy. Uploads are limited to the channel you link yourself.

3. Credit and expiry

Credit is the unit of use within the Service, calculated at 100 Credit per equivalent US dollar. The sign-up gift grants 100 Credit once to the first 300 people who register after this campaign starts. Users registered before the campaign are not included in these 300 and do not receive the gift again. From the day after registration, users receive 50 Credit when signing in, once per day in Japan time, even if they were not eligible for the sign-up gift. A separate sign-in bonus is not also granted on the registration date.

  • Sign-up bonus: valid until the same date and time 1 month after issue. If that date does not exist, it expires at the same time on the last day of the following month.
  • Daily sign-in bonus: valid for 7 days after issue.
  • Credit with the earliest expiry is used first. Unused Credit expires on its expiry date and cannot be used, redeemed for cash, transferred, or extended. Previously issued Credit is also assigned an expiry based on its original issue date.

Required Credit is reserved when generation or export starts. Credit that expires while reserved is still applied to settlement of that operation. Unused Credit released by cancellation or settlement returns to the available balance only if its original expiry date has not passed.

Credit cannot currently be purchased. Check your balance, reserved Credit, grant and usage history, and expiry dates in My page.

4. Credit used for generation and export

The opening title image and the dedicated background for the final five-second summary are each generated once by an external image service and cost 0 Credits. At least 50 Credits for video creation must be available, plus the maximum reservation of 5 Credits per AI background when selected. An uncertain result is not automatically reordered from the same draft; reload the script instead. Video creation costs 50 Credits and export costs 10 Credits separately.

When AI backgrounds are selected for an explainer video, topic and scene groups are combined into at most six backgrounds, each shared by its covered lines. Before each order, 5 Credits are reserved, then the confirmed API cost plus 15% is converted at 100 Credits per USD and rounded up (minimum 1 Credit). Charges above the reservation consume the difference and any shortfall becomes debt. Unknown outcomes or usage stay reserved and are not automatically reordered. A successful external charge remains payable if later safety checks or storage fail. The confirmation page shows the maximum background reservation, the separate 50-Credit video, and the 0-Credit title image and dedicated summary background.

Except for the fixed explainer-video charges above, AI video, image and music generation adds 15% to the actual external API cost, converts at 1 USD = 100 Credits and rounds up to a whole Credit (minimum 1 Credit). The displayed initial amount is an estimate; it is settled after actual charges are known. If the charge exceeds the reservation, the difference may also be deducted and further use may be restricted until any shortfall is resolved.

Video export uses 10 Credit on completion. The reservation is released if canceled or failed. Prompt assistance, device checks, and previews do not use Credit. Generation does not start if a pre-generation safety check rejects the request. Actual external API charges remain subject to settlement even if a generated image is later deemed unusable by a safety check, or retrieval or storage of the generated result fails.

5. Watermarks and monthly subscriptions

Videos created and exported on the Free plan display “DirecTune.app” at the top left at 50% opacity. Changing the watermark's text, image, position, size, color, or opacity, or hiding it, requires an active monthly subscription. If monthly subscription eligibility ends, the standard watermark applies to subsequent editing and export. Basic and higher plans allow watermark removal. Planned monthly prices including tax are Basic ¥980, Standard ¥2,980, and Plus ¥9,800. Billing and purchasing features are not yet provided. Details will be announced on the pricing page.

6. Storage limits and data retention

Storage limits are Free: 3 projects and 1GB; Basic: 3 projects and 3GB; Standard: 10 projects and 5GB; Plus: 50 projects and 10GB. These limits also apply to existing users. Trashed projects do not count toward the project limit, but their media counts toward storage. Existing data over a limit is not automatically deleted; new additions are restricted. Free-plan media becomes unavailable 7 days after storage and is subject to deletion. Physical deletion may be delayed depending on processing status. Monthly subscribers are not subject to this 7-day expiry. As a rule, users returning from a monthly subscription to Free receive a 7-day grace period from the change.

Users must keep their own copies of needed media and exported videos. Earlier projects remain accessible after compatible minor updates, but updates that change the storage format may make older projects inaccessible. User deletion of media or storage expiry may leave media missing from projects. The DirecTune media library is stored by the system and is excluded from personal storage limits and the 7-day expiry.

7. Rights in media and generated results

DirecTune media library assets may be used for commercial and non-commercial video production under the terms displayed for each asset. CC0 assets are governed by CC0, and these Terms do not restrict that license. Assets provided as company-owned may be used in finished videos created with the Service. Extracting, redistributing, or selling their originals or previews as standalone assets is not permitted. Do not imply that the author recommends or endorses the finished video.

Rights in uploaded media remain with the user or the lawful rights holder. Use media that does not infringe copyright, likeness rights, privacy, trademark rights, or other rights. You grant the Company permission to process media to the extent necessary to provide the Service, including storage, editing, delivery, safety checks, and incident response.

We do not guarantee that all AI-generated results are accurate or original, give rise to rights, or avoid infringing third-party rights. Users must review content before publication, advertising, or commercial use and comply with the terms of external generation services and models.

8. Prohibited conduct and safety checks

Prohibited conduct includes illegal acts; sexual exploitation of children; sexual or obscene media; discrimination or harassment; excessively violent content; infringement of others' rights; impersonation; entering confidential or personal information without authorization; fraudulent acquisition of accounts or Credit; unauthorized access; prompt injection; and circumventing safety checks or billing, storage, or watermark restrictions.

Input prompts and image media are sent to external safety check services, and use may be refused. If a safety check service is unavailable, we also suspend use of media that cannot be checked. Automated checks can produce false positives and miss violations; passing a check does not guarantee lawfulness or rights clearance. Contact the Company about incorrect decisions.

9. Suspension and account closure

If these Terms are violated, the Service is misused, or its safety is compromised, the Company may restrict use, suspend use of media, or suspend accounts to the extent necessary. Contact us below to close your account or delete account information. After verifying your identity, we will respond appropriately, except for records that must be retained by law or for handling abuse.

10. Maintenance and liability

We may change, interrupt, or discontinue features due to maintenance, incidents, external API changes, or other circumstances. Where possible, planned material changes will be announced in advance within the Service. The Company's liability is governed by applicable law; these Terms do not provide exclusions or limitations of liability that are prohibited by the Consumer Contract Act or other laws.

11. Personal information, changes to the Terms, and governing law

Personal information is handled under the Privacy Policy. If these Terms change, we announce the changes and their effective date within the Service and seek renewed consent where required by law. These Terms are governed by Japanese law. Disputes will first be discussed in good faith; unresolved disputes will be resolved by a court having jurisdiction under Japanese law.
